Dr Timothy Hodges
General Dental Practitioner (GDC: 176431)
Tim qualified from Cardiff University in 2009 and immediately joined the Axminster Dental Practice. In November 2011 Tim became a partner with Justin and together they designed and had built the state of the art premises they are in today. He also works as Secretary for the Local Dental Committee and since 2014 has been a trainer for newly qualified dentists.
Born in Honiton and grew up locally, Tim understands the importance of our community and looking after their best interests. His main aim is pain free dentistry; he has a firm belief that with the correct technique and patience, visiting the dentist should not need to be an unpleasant experience.
Tim is also trained in Invisalign for straightening teeth with clear, comfortable aligners. If you are interested in this please ask at reception to book in for a free Invisalign consultation.

Dr Parth Patel
General Dental Practitioner
Parth graduated with a BSc (honours) in Medical Biochemistry at Leeds in 2013 and continued his studies in Hungary to gain his DMD, Doctor of Dental Medicine, in 2018. He joined the practice in the summer of 2018, and has since then enjoyed life in the South West and decided to continue on with the practice in a more permanent position.
Parth is very interested in honing various skills throughout his career. He especially enjoys restorative and cosmetic dentistry. His interests in keeping up with new literature and technology allows him to provide his patients with the high-quality care they deserve. His jolly attitude and giggle are not only recognised everywhere in the building but also brighten his working environment for everyone he interacts with.
Dr Ellis Pheasant
General Dental Practitioner (GDC: 295608)
Ellis qualified from Plymouth University in 2021and joined the practice in the same year.
She prides herself for her compassionate approach to put patients at ease. She understands that dental appointments can be difficult for some but has a proven track record of alleviating anxiety with her gentle and friendly manner.
Ellis plans to complete further training in operative dentistry, to complement her passion for general dentistry.
Dr Josh Chappelow
General Dental Practitioner
Josh qualified from the University of Birmingham, practising at Axminster Dental Practice ever since. Whilst studying Josh undertook an elective looking at the different types of dental materials and regularly applies this knowledge for the best high quality care of patients.
Josh keeps up to date with the latest dental techniques and procedures and has recently completed the Royal College of Surgeons MFDS part one exam. Outside of Dentistry Josh enjoys team sports, tennis, keeping fit and going to the gym.
Dr Gemma Hayes
General Dental Practitioner (GDC 153627)
Gemma attended university with Tim and graduated from Cardiff University Dental School in 2008, where she also completed her Vocational Training. She moved to Australia for 2 years, working in Oral Surgery in a Hospital setting then an outreach centre treating the community. Following on from this she joined a Private Practice in Brisbane before returning home to the Southwest
She undertakes all aspects of dentistry, but especially enjoys family care.

Mrs Anna Messom
Dental Hygienist
Anna has worked in dentistry for 10 years, graduating from the University of Bristol in 2020 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene (Distinction). A local girl who has lived in the South West for over 30 years Anna joined the practice in August 2020.
Anna has a keen interest in developing her skills through continued online learning and face to face teaching, as well as keeping up to date with research and techniques which allow her to support her patients with their oral health in an understanding and patient manner.

Miss Jemma Sparks
Dental Therapist
Jemma originally worked as a Dental Nurse for a number of years before securing a placement at Plymouth University to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
Jemma graduated with a BSc Hons (Merit) in Dental Hygiene Therapy in 2023. Since then Jemma has joined Axminster Dental Practice, working 4 days a week.
In Jemma’s spare time she enjoys exploring the countryside with her Spinger Spaniel – Mango, and renovating her first home with her fiancé.
